In recognition of the importance of Barefooterschool and expansion of its activities all over the country, its status was elevated to that of a Pestomatic Controls as Training Institute in 2002 and renamed as Barefooterschool in 2017 The policies of liberalization and globalization of the economy and the level of agricultural Plant protection technology becoming more sophisticated and complex, called for major initiatives towards reorientation and modernization of the agricultural extension system. Effective ways of managing the extension system needed to be evolved and extension organizations enabled to transform the existing set up through professional guidance and training of critical manpower.

Agriculture graduate from MPKV, Rahuri in 1991, got trained in ACABC programme sponsored by MANAGE, Govt of India in Dec 2002 at Pune Agri College.

A Gold Medallist in Entomology and Agriculture. Working in the Pest Control Industry for past 20 years.

Dr. A.G. Chandele has rich experience of more than 40 years in the field of entomology and agricultural research. In his last assignment he was Associate dean, College of Agriculture, Pune, MPKV-Rahuri.
